Cornell will rename East Avenue, which runs through the heart of the Ithaca campus, as Feeney Way, in honor of the university’s most generous donor. Chuck Feeney ’56 has given nearly $1 billion to Cornell in his lifetime, mostly anonymously.
University leaders hope the tribute, formally planned to occur in spring 2021, will inspire other Cornellians to follow in his path.
